Bespoke Furniture Design & Manufacture

Foundry Studio is a UK-based design and manufacture studio specialising in bespoke furniture for commercial interiors. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and business clients to design and make custom furniture for workplace, hospitality, retail, and public-facing environments. From early concept development through to manufacture and delivery, all furniture is designed and made in-house, allowing us to maintain control over quality, materials, and timelines while delivering furniture that is built to perform in demanding commercial settings.

Designed and made in-house for commercial interiors

Every piece of bespoke furniture we produce is designed and manufactured in-house, giving us full control over quality, materials, and delivery at every stage. This integrated approach allows us to translate design intent into practical, buildable solutions that perform reliably in commercial environments.

Working from our UK workshop, we collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and commercial clients to develop furniture tailored to specific spaces, usage requirements, and brand contexts. Materials, construction methods, and finishes are considered early, ensuring each piece balances visual clarity with durability, longevity, and ease of installation.

By designing and making under one roof, we reduce unnecessary complexity, maintain consistency throughout production, and respond efficiently to evolving project requirements — delivering bespoke furniture that is built to last and suited to demanding commercial interiors.

Our bespoke furniture design and manufacture process

Our process is designed to support commercial clients, interior designers, and project teams from early concept through to manufacture and delivery, ensuring bespoke furniture is developed with clarity, efficiency, and long-term performance in mind.

Step 1 — Concept & collaboration

Every bespoke furniture project begins with a detailed discussion around the brief, the space, and how the furniture will be used. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and commercial clients to understand functional requirements, material preferences, budgets, and programme constraints. This collaborative approach ensures early design decisions are purposeful, achievable, and aligned with the wider project context.

Step 2 — Design & visualisation

Once the direction is agreed, we develop the design through detailed drawings, technical layouts, and visualisations. This stage allows proportions, materials, and construction methods to be refined before manufacture begins. By resolving technical details early, we ensure the final furniture is both visually considered and practical to produce, install, and maintain within commercial environments.

Step 3 — Manufacture & delivery

Following design sign-off, furniture is manufactured in-house by our workshop team. Controlling production allows us to maintain consistent quality, manage lead times, and ensure finishes meet specification. We coordinate delivery and installation where required, ensuring each piece arrives ready for use and performs reliably within demanding commercial settings.
