Resident Edinburgh — built piece by piece by Foundry Studio.

165 rooms. 498 pieces of furniture. One seriously ambitious brief. Resident wanted a hotel that feels boutique but built to last — we made it real. From concept sketches to final install, our team designed, manufactured and delivered various items of furniture with details that make a room feel thought-through. All crafted in Matlock, all built to turn a night’s stay into something quietly unforgettable.

Behind the numbers was a full-scale design and build operation: sourcing durable, beautiful materials, prototyping joinery that could stand up to hotel life, and coordinating delivery to a live construction site without missing a beat. Each piece from the bedside tables to the console units and bar furniture was hand-finished to feel boutique yet built for years of hardy guests. A project that shows how Foundry Studio can scale craft without losing soul.
